2. Comparison of common materials

Solid wood sofa legs: warm texture, good load-bearing, environmentally friendly, and can be carved into shapes. But it is afraid of humid environment (easy to deform and crack) and heavy.
Stainless steel/iron sofa legs: high strength, waterproof and rust-proof (304 is better), strong modern feel, cold touch, easy to leave fingerprints (brushing can be improved).
Aluminum alloy sofa legs: lightweight, not easy to rust, with various surface treatments (oxidation/spray coating). The load-bearing capacity is slightly lower than that of steel and the cost is medium. It is commonly used in office furniture, adjustable legs, and outdoor sofas.
Plastic/nylon sofa legs: low cost, one-piece molding, waterproof, good anti-slip texture, but average texture, easy to age and become brittle under long-term load-bearing, economical sofa, functional sofa (with universal wheels).

1. Classification by height
Short feet (3-7cm): The overall height is low, suitable for leisure and wabi-sabi style, but it is difficult for the sweeping robot to enter.

Mid-high legs (8-15cm): mainstream range, taking into account both beauty and cleaning convenience.

Tall legs (>15cm): highly transparent and easy to store, common in minimalist or Nordic styles.

2. Classification by shape;

Tapered/trapezoid feet: thick at the top and thin at the bottom or thin at the top and thick at the bottom, classic and stable.
Column/square column base: simple and neat, with a strong sense of modernity.
Cone + metal set feet: The bottom of the wooden feet is covered with metal to protect the wood and increase sophistication.
Special-shaped/sculptural feet: such as animal claws, spheres, and spirals, mostly used for luxury or personalized designs.
Adjustable feet: with screws or plastic base, the height can be finely adjusted to deal with uneven floors, commonly found in offices or high-end upholstered sofas.
