The "Newton" of a gas spring is the industry's colloquial term for its supporting force, with 1 Newton (N) ≈ 0.102 kilogram-force (kgf). In daily selection, the corresponding Newton rating is converted based on load-bearing requirements.

 

Common Newton Ratings of Gas Spring and Their Application Scenarios

• 20N-40N: Light-duty small cabinet doors, small storage box lids

• 60N-80N: Standard kitchen cabinet doors, wardrobe doors, small flip-up doors

• 100N-150N: Large wall cabinet doors, bay window cabinets, medium-sized storage boxes

• 200N-300N: Heavy-duty cabinet doors, tatami cover plates, large flip panel cabinets

• Above 300N: Industrial equipment cabinet doors, heavy furniture flip panels

 

Key Selection Points

1. Select the rating according to the actual weight of the door/cover plate, with the Newton rating slightly higher than the load (a 10%-20% margin reserved).
