What are the differences between zinc alloy hooks of the same style but different weights?

For zinc alloy hooks with the same appearance and design, the difference in weight mainly comes from wall thickness and material quality.
Load-bearing capacity Heavier hooks usually have thicker walls. They are less likely to bend or break, so they can support heavier items. Lighter ones are thin-wall die castings. Even if they look the same, they tend to crack under heavy load and are only for light objects.Note: Weight is not the only standard. Some hooks may have hidden cavities inside.
Raw material quality Heavy hooks normally use more qualified zinc alloy. Light cheap hooks often adopt recycled impure zinc material with internal pores. Such hooks are brittle, and their electroplating coating is easy to peel off.
Installation requirements Heavier hooks have their own dead weight. If using adhesive mounting, their own weight may pull the glue off the wall. They are better installed with screws. Lighter zinc alloy hooks are suitable for no-drill adhesive installation for small lightweight things.
Texture & safety Heavier hooks feel solid. Once they fall off, they may cause greater impact damage. Light hooks feel flimsy and wobble easily when touched. They cause less harm if they drop.
Key summary
Same appearance does not mean equal strength.
Heavy: thicker material, higher load capacity, screw installation recommended.
Light: thin walls, low load limit, only for light items.
